(KANSAS CITY, MO. - May 5th, 2009) – Swindlr LLC. today announced the launch date of their flagship product zappn.com. Zappn will launch in Kansas City, MO on May 29th, 2009. Zappn is a utilitarian web and mobile destination that allows the planner of a public or private social gathering to manage an event at all stages of its life.
Swindlr created zappn on the certainty that the technology exists to create, manage, and share events in a way that has never been done before. Zappn.com is a complete, multi-faceted management tool based on multiple, individual perspectives of a social gathering and the desire to share those perspectives with others. No longer will all images of one event have to reside in so many different places, unavailable to those who want them most. With zappn.com everything is easily accessible in one spot.
Zappn.com will host a launch event in Kansas City on May 29th, 2009 to promote the web and mobile application for the Kansas City audience. This event will be held in the Crossroads area of Kansas City at Arts Incubator in a 3000 square foot art gallery space overlooking the Kansas City skyline. Kansas City’s own NOMATHMATICS DJ group will be performing all night. Zappn’s launch event will be an interactive space where users can experience zappn.com hands-on. The gathered content of the Kansas City Launch event will be immediately available to users in a live feed format projected and displayed all over the event space. With zappn, users will be able to:
Use GPS technology to check-in and see surrounding events live via iPhone.
Collect and share video and photographs via iPhone or Internet during and after the event.
Create an event by issuing invitations, then see other invitees and attendees on an iPhone or computer.
There are approximately 100 million Americans already using social networks. Zappn will serve a huge portion of that population by providing a missing and much needed piece of the social puzzle - a focus on events.
