Camera Grip for iPhone - “ZGrip”
Posted on 24. Jul, 2009 by admin in Technology, iPhone
Last week we posted some news about a Paul Wall rap music video being shot with nothing but iPhone 3GSs. They could have filmed it of course with another camera phone but it wouldn’t have been “cool” news. Com’on, it’s the freakin iphone. Well, since then we found that there are some new “video making” accessories designed to accompany the iphone and capitalize off of the popularity that is the iPhone.
Of course, we’ve been capturing video with our iphone for over a year now with a great “unlocked” app called Cycorder, but that app never really received much attention. And it definitely didn’t spawn a whole new industry of video accessories like the new “Zgrip” by Zacuto based in Chicago, Illinois. This tight little grip takes iphone camera usage to another level and definitely gives users a lot more freedom with the camera. There won’t be a whole lot of freedom for your pocket book though, with a price tag of $295. It’s a beefy piece of quality equipment, thus the hefty cost, but they’re talking about releasing a consumer version that will be a lot cheaper. I’m sure Best Buy and the Apple stores will have these once they come out.
