Jimmy Fallon Tests the Xbox “Wii Killer”

Well, I know that this was a rerun tonight on Jimmy Fallon, but I had to post something about this. On the show tonight, Jimmy and John Krasinski test a new Xbox gaming technology called “Project Natal” and man did it grab my attention. This new project from Microsoft is going to basically punch Wii in the mouth and make it go home crying to mommy, or whoever is in charge over there at Wii.
Unlike the Wii, this new technology doesn’t even require a wand or hand tool. It simply recognizes your body and movements. For example, they demoed a car driving game where all you have to do is stand with your hands in the driving position and put one of your feet foreward as if you were pressing the gas. That’s it! And in the game you just turn your imaginary sterring wheel to make turns and maneuver wherever you like.
Technology is just amazing and at the rate that it’s advancing and progressing, it’ll just be a matter of time before we have no longer even need a gaming system and we’re entertainign ourselves with the projector implant in our eye and the internet chip in our brain. ha. you never know.
