New FacebookLite is pretty Lite.

Facebook has been testing their new Lite concept and after testing it ourselves, we wanted to share out thoughts. It’s of course a lot cleaner and seems to have less clutter, but it’s already missing some great elements that make the current facebook great.
Here’s what we like:
1. Super clean layout. Less clutter.
2. “Twitter style” feed.
3. Simple sidebar butons to access wall, photos, info, etc.
4. Clean photo and video library. Comments for photos and video are now available in the right sidebar. Nice and clean.
What we don’t like:
1. Notifications are hard to find. The current Facebook provides instant alerts on notifications in the lower right corner as a red button/icon. Also, the most recent notification list is short and sweet. In the Lite version, notification access is a text link along the top, but you’d miss it easily. also, you can’t view a quick list of notifications.
2. There’s no chat feature. Maybe they haven’t gotten that far, but the chat feature is great and not having this feature would keep me from using it. Gotta be able to chat.
